Zesty Lime and Onion Salsa

1In a medium bowl, combine the finely chopped red onion (1 large) and the minced jalapeño pepper (1).

3Stir in the chopped cilantro, garlic powder (1 teaspoon), salt (½ teaspoon), black pepper (¼ teaspoon), and sugar (½ teaspoon).

4Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
