Delicious Hindi Cake with Spices and Nuts

1Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

2In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar (1 cup) until light and fluffy.

3Add the eggs (3 large) one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the yogurt (1 cup) and vanilla extract (1 teaspoon) until combined.

4In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder (1 teaspoon), baking soda (1 teaspoon), salt (½ teaspoon), cardamom powder (1 teaspoon), and cinnamon powder (½ teaspoon).

5Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk (½ cup), and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

6Fold in the chopped mixed nuts (½ cup) and raisins (¼ cup) gently into the batter.

7Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

8Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

9Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
