Spicy Italian Chicken Sandwich with Kaiser Buns

1.In a bowl, combine the chicken breasts with soy sauce, garlic powder, oregano, chili flakes, chili powder, and Italian seasoning. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2.Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the marinated chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

3.In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and toast the kaiser buns until golden brown on the inside.

4.In a small bowl, mix the ketchup with chopped basil and set aside.

5.Assemble the sandwich by spreading the basil ketchup on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer with spring mix, sliced onion, sliced tomato, shredded lettuce, and sliced chicken breast.

6.Top with Italian blend shredded cheese and the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.
