Savory Shrimp and Bacon Lasagna Delight

1.Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2.In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.

3.In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Remove from heat and set aside.

4.In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined.

5.Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

6.Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.

7.Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, half of the shrimp and bacon mixture, a third of the mozzarella cheese, and a third of the marinara sauce. Repeat the layers, ending with a final layer of noodles, marinara sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.

8.Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

9.Let the lasagna cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
