Savory Ground Beef and Leek Potato Bake

1.Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2.In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced leeks and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are soft and translucent.

3.Add the ground beef to the skillet with the leeks. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

4.Stir in the dried thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the flavors.

5.In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom. Season with a little salt and pepper.

6.Spread the beef and leek mixture evenly over the potatoes, then layer the remaining potato slices on top.

7.Pour the beef broth over the entire dish, ensuring the potatoes are well moistened.

8.Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

9.After 30 minutes, remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

10.Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
