Sweet and Savory Honey Garlic Silkworms

1.Rinse the silkworm pupae under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.

2.In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Set aside.

3.In a medium-sized bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, grated ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.

4.Add the silkworm pupae to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

5.Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the marinated silkworm pupae to the pan, reserving the marinade.

6.Cook the silkworms for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they become crispy and golden brown.

7.Pour the reserved marinade into the pan and bring it to a simmer.

8.Add the cornstarch slurry to the pan and stir continuously until the sauce thickens and coats the silkworms evenly.

9.Sprinkle sesame seeds over the silkworms and toss to combine.

10.Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
