Creamy Basil Chicken and Rice Delight

1.Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

2.Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

3.Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

4.In the same skillet, add the uncooked rice and toast it for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently.

5.Pour in the 2 cups of milk and bring to a gentle simmer.

6.Stir in the basil pasta sauce, dried basil, and Parmesan cheese until well combined.

7.Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, nestling it into the rice mixture.

8.Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

9.Once cooked, remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes before serving.

10.Garnish with fresh chopped basil leaves before serving.
