Basil Butter Bacon Toast

1.In a small bowl, combine the unsalted butter and finely chopped basil. Mix well until the basil is evenly distributed throughout the butter.

2.Spread a generous layer of the basil butter mixture on one side of each slice of white bread.

3.In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

4.In the same skillet, place the slices of bread, buttered side down, and toast until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

5.Flip the bread slices over and place a slice of white American cheese on each piece. Allow the cheese to melt for about 1-2 minutes.

6.Once the cheese is melted, layer 2 slices of crispy bacon on top of each cheesy toast.

7.Remove from the skillet and serve immediately, garnished with additional basil if desired.
