Decadent Dairy-Free Chocolate Cake

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.

2.In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

3.In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond milk, vegetable oil, apple cider vinegar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

4.Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

5.If using, fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips gently into the batter.

6.Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.

7.Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8.Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
