Graveyard Chocolate Pudding Cups

1.In a medium saucepan, whisk together the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt until well combined.

2.Gradually add the whole milk to the dry ingredients, whisking continuously to prevent lumps from forming.

3.Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until it thickens and begins to bubble, about 5-7 minutes.

4.Once thickened, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

5.Pour the chocolate pudding into individual cups or bowls and let it cool to room temperature.

6.Once cooled, cover the cups with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.

7.Before serving, crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs and sprinkle them generously over the top of the pudding to create a 'dirt' layer.

8.Garnish each cup with gummy worms, placing them on top of the cookie crumbles to resemble a graveyard scene.

9.If desired, add a dollop of whipped cream on top for an extra touch of decadence.
