Garlic Steak and Cheese Sandwich Delight

1.Start by marinating the ribeye steak. In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Coat the steak with this mixture and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2.Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.

3.While the steak is resting, prepare the garlic mayo. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and minced garlic. Mix well until fully combined.

4.Toast the slices of white bread in the same skillet until golden brown on both sides. You can add a little butter for extra flavor if desired.

5.Spread a generous amount of garlic mayo on one side of each slice of toasted bread.

6.Layer the sliced steak on one slice of bread, then place the cheddar cheese on top of the steak.

7.Cover with the second slice of bread, mayo side down, to form a sandwich.

8.Return the sandwich to the skillet and press down gently. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.

9.Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice it in half, and serve hot.
