Classic Orange Marmalade Tart

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2.In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, granulated sugar, egg yolk, salt, and vanilla extract. Mix until the dough comes together.

3.Press the dough into a 9-inch tart pan evenly across the bottom and up the sides. Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling.

4.Chill the tart shell in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to firm up.

5.Bake the tart shell in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

6.In a small saucepan, combine the homemade orange marmalade, fresh orange juice, cornstarch, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

7.Once thickened, remove from heat and let it cool slightly before pouring it into the cooled tart shell.

8.Spread the marmalade filling evenly in the tart shell and smooth the top with a spatula.

9.Refrigerate the tart for at least 1 hour to set the filling before serving.

10.Before serving, dust the top of the tart with powdered sugar for a beautiful finish.
