Herb-Crusted Roast Turkey with Citrus Glaze

1.Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

2.In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, rosemary, thyme, sage, garlic, salt, and black pepper to create a herb paste.

3.Pat the turkey dry with paper towels and place it in a large roasting pan.

4.Rub the herb paste all over the turkey, making sure to get under the skin for maximum flavor.

5.In a separate bowl, combine the chicken broth, orange juice, lemon juice, honey, orange zest, and lemon zest to create the citrus glaze.

6.Pour half of the citrus glaze over the turkey, reserving the other half for basting later.

7.Cover the turkey loosely with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.

8.Roast the turkey for about 2 to 2.5 hours, basting with the reserved citrus glaze every 30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) in the thickest part of the thigh.

9.Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes of roasting to allow the skin to crisp up and turn golden brown.

10.Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
