Crispy-Chewy Chocolate Chunk Brownies

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

2.In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.

3.Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

4.In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until evenly mixed.

5.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

6.Fold in the chocolate chunks and chopped walnuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

7.Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

8.Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
