Creamy Dreamy Cheese Sauce for Mac and Cheese

1.In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until bubbly.

2.Add the flour to the melted butter, whisking continuously for about 1-2 minutes to create a roux, until it turns a light golden color.

3.Gradually pour in the whole milk while whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble, about 5-7 minutes.

4.Reduce the heat to low and add the garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, and cayenne pepper. Stir to combine.

5.Slowly add the shredded cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until completely melted and smooth.

6.Season the cheese sauce with salt and black pepper to taste. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little more milk to reach your desired consistency.
