Fluffy Cinnamon Rolls with a Sweet Glaze

1.In a small bowl, warm the milk until it's lukewarm (about 110°F or 43°C). Sprinkle the yeast over the milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well to combine the dry ingredients.

3.Add the melted butter and the frothy yeast mixture to the dry ingredients. Also, add the egg. Mix until a dough forms.

4.Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

5.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

6.Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

7.Spread a thin layer of melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and brown sugar (about 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon).

8.Roll the dough tightly from the long side to form a log. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.

9.Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes until they puff up.

10.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown.

11.While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar with 1 tablespoon of milk until smooth.

12.Once the rolls are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over the top.
