Sugar Crust Bread Rolls

1.In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

2.In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and salt.

3.Add the melted butter and eggs to the flour mixture, then pour in the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.

4.Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

5.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

6.Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them on a greased baking sheet, leaving space between each roll.

7.Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.

8.Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

9.Melt the 1/4 cup of butter for the topping and mix it with the 1/2 cup of sugar in a small bowl.

10.Brush the tops of the rolls with the melted butter and sprinkle the sugar mixture generously over them.

11.Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

12.Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
