Decadent Cherry Chocolate Cream Cheese Tart

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2.Place the pre-made pie crust in a tart pan and press it into the bottom and up the sides. Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling.

3.Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

4.In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

5.In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add the dark chocolate chips, stirring until melted and smooth.

6.Combine the melted chocolate mixture with the cream cheese mixture, mixing until fully incorporated and smooth.

7.Spread the chocolate cream cheese filling evenly into the cooled tart crust.

8.In a separate bowl, toss the halved cherries with granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and salt until well coated. Arrange the cherries on top of the chocolate cream cheese filling, pressing them in slightly.

9.Refrigerate the tart for at least 2 hours to set before serving.

10.Once set, garnish with fresh cherries if desired, slice, and serve chilled.
