Cheesy Sausage Stuffed Bread Rolls

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well to combine.

2.Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough begins to form.

3.Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

4.Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

5.While the dough is rising, prepare the filling by mixing the crumbled sausage, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Set aside.

6.Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.

7.Roll each piece of dough into a ball, then flatten it into a circle about 4 inches in diameter.

8.Place a generous spoonful of the sausage and cheese filling in the center of each dough circle.

9.Fold the edges of the dough over the filling, pinching to seal it tightly. Roll the filled dough into a ball again to ensure it is sealed.

10.Place the stuffed rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

11.Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

12.Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.

13.Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.

14.Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
