Microwave Semolina Cake Delight

1In a mixing bowl, combine the semolina (1 cup), sugar (½ cup), and baking powder (1 teaspoon). Mix well to ensure the dry ingredients are evenly distributed.

2In another bowl, whisk together the milk (1 cup), melted butter (¼ cup), egg (1 large), vanilla extract (½ teaspoon), and salt (¼ teaspoon) until well combined.

3Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Mix until you have a smooth batter.

4Grease a microwave-safe dish or bowl with a little butter (¼ cup) to prevent sticking.

5Pour the batter into the greased dish, spreading it evenly.

6Microwave the cake on high for 5-7 minutes, checking for doneness at the 5-minute mark. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7Once cooked, let the cake cool for a few minutes before serving. You can enjoy it plain or with a dusting of powdered sugar (½ cup).
