Coffee-Infused BBQ Brisket

1.In a small bowl, combine ground coffee, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt to create the coffee rub.

2.Pat the brisket dry with paper towels and rub the coffee mixture evenly over the entire surface of the meat, ensuring it is well-coated. Cover the brisket with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to penetrate.

3.Preheat your oven to 225°F (107°C).

4.In a large roasting pan, combine beef broth, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Place the seasoned brisket in the pan, fat side up, and cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil.

5.Cook the brisket in the preheated oven for 6 to 8 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork. The internal temperature should reach about 195°F (90°C).

6.Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest, covered, for at least 30 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

7.Slice the brisket against the grain and serve with your favorite BBQ sauce and sides.
