Dominosteine

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C (Gas: Level 2, Fan: 160°C).

2.In a pot, bring honey, sugar, and margarine to a boil over medium heat and let cool for about 5 minutes.

3.Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and gingerbread spice.

4.Add the egg and mix well.

5.Place a baking frame (approx. 20 x 24 cm) on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, pour in the batter, smooth it out, and bake on the middle rack for 12-15 minutes. Let cool for about 10 minutes.

6.Soak gelatin according to package instructions.

7.Heat apricot jam with lemon juice in a pot over medium heat, dissolve gelatin, spread jelly over the dough, and let cool for about 50 minutes.

8.Dice marzipan, mix with almonds, and knead into a smooth dough.

9.Roll out the marzipan dough into a rectangle (approx. 20 x 24 cm) between cling film and place on the jelly layer.

10.Melt chocolate in a warm water bath, let cool slightly, spread over the marzipan layer, and let cool for about 10 minutes.

11.Remove the baking frame, cut the pastry into 42 rectangles, and serve the Dominosteine.
