Sweet Jam Cake with a Delightful Swirl

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

2.In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

3.In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

4.Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

5.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the flour mixture, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.

6.Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

7.Spoon dollops of the fruit jam over the batter, then use a knife or a skewer to gently swirl the jam into the batter without fully mixing it in.

8.Pour the remaining batter over the jam layer and spread evenly. Add more dollops of jam on top and swirl again if desired.

9.Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

10.Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
