Peanut Butter Chicken Comfort Sandwich

1.Preheat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.

2.In a small bowl, mix together the mustard, hot sauce, BBQ sauce, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the shredded rotisserie chicken to the bowl and toss until the chicken is well coated with the sauce mixture.

3.Butter the inside of each bun half with the softened unsalted butter.

4.Place the buns, buttered side down, on the preheated skillet. Toast them until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

5.In the same skillet, add the coated chicken mixture and cook for 3-4 minutes until heated through, stirring occasionally.

6.Spread 1 tablespoon of creamy peanut butter on the inside of each toasted bun half.

7.Place a slice of cheddar cheese on the bottom half of each bun. Top with the warm, saucy chicken mixture, ensuring even distribution.

8.Add a leaf of lettuce on top of the chicken, then cover with the top half of the bun.

9.Serve the sandwich immediately while warm, allowing the cheese to melt slightly from the heat of the chicken.
