Sweet and Tangy Pork Chop Bake

1.Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2.In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, baked beans, minced garlic, brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Stir until well combined to create the savory tomato sauce.

3.Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with a pinch of salt and pepper on both sides.

4.Sear the pork chops in the hot skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side until they develop a golden-brown crust. Remove from heat.

5.Arrange the halved cherry tomatoes and sliced green onions evenly around and on top of the pork chops in the skillet.

6.Pour the prepared savory tomato sauce evenly over the pork chops and vegetables, ensuring everything is well coated.

7.Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) and the sauce is bubbling.

8.Remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain juiciness.

9.Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve the pork chops with the baked beans and tomato sauce spooned over the top for a hearty, sweet and tangy meal.
