Spicy Honey Glazed Chicken Stir-Fry

1In a medium bowl, combine the diced chicken (500 grams) with garlic powder (1 teaspoon), smoked paprika (1 teaspoon), chili flakes (½ teaspoon), salt, and pepper. Toss well to evenly coat the chicken pieces with the spices.

2In a small bowl, whisk together the honey (2 tablespoons) and apple cider vinegar (1 tablespoon) until fully combined. Set aside.

3Heat the vegetable oil (2 tablespoons) in a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.

4Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet in a single layer. Let it sear undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to develop a golden crust, then stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the chicken is mostly cooked through.

5Add the sliced onion (1 medium) and red bell pepper (1) to the skillet. Stir-fry together with the chicken for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

6Pour the honey (2 tablespoons) and vinegar mixture over the chicken and vegetables. Stir continuously to coat everything evenly and allow the sauce to thicken slightly, about 2 minutes.

7Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or chili flakes (½ teaspoon) if desired.

8Remove from heat and transfer the stir-fry to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped green onions (2) and a sprinkle of sesame seeds if using.

9Serve immediately with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
