Honey-Glazed Brie Cheese Ball

1.Ensure both the Brie (rind removed) and cream cheese are fully softened to room temperature. This is crucial for a smooth texture.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed Brie cheese and the softened cream cheese. Use a hand mixer or a sturdy spatula to beat the cheeses together until the mixture is completely smooth and uniform, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

3.Fold in 3 tablespoons of honey, the chopped dried cranberries, chopped dried apricots, fresh thyme, black pepper, and sea salt. Mix gently until the additions are evenly distributed throughout the cheese mixture.

4.Transfer the cheese mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Gather the edges of the plastic wrap and shape the mixture into a tight, uniform ball. Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours, or up to 24 hours, until the cheese ball is firm and holds its shape.

5.Spread the finely chopped and lightly toasted nuts (pecans or walnuts) onto a shallow plate or cutting board.

6.Remove the chilled cheese ball from the plastic wrap and gently roll it in the chopped nuts, pressing firmly to ensure the entire surface is coated. If the cheese ball is too sticky, allow it to sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before coating.

7.Place the coated cheese ball on a serving platter. Drizzle the remaining 1 teaspoon of honey over the top just before serving.

8.Serve immediately with assorted crackers, sliced baguette, apple slices, or grapes. Allow the cheese ball to sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving for the best spreadable texture.
