Classic Pizza Waffles

1.Preheat your waffle iron to medium-high heat. Lightly brush the grates with olive oil.

2.Unroll the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut the dough into 4-6 equal portions, depending on the size of your waffle iron.

3.For each portion, gently stretch or flatten the dough into a shape that will fit your waffle iron. Avoid making it too thin.

4.Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over one side of the dough. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and mini pepperoni slices, adding any other desired toppings.

5.Carefully place the topped dough onto the preheated waffle iron, topping-side up. Close the lid and cook for 3-6 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

6.Remove the pizza waffle from the iron and repeat with the remaining dough and toppings.

7.Serve immediately with extra pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.
