Pork Shoulder Steaks with Creamy Tomato Sauce

1.Pat the pork shoulder steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.

2.Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until deeply browned and cooked through. Remove the steaks from the pan and set aside on a plate, tenting with foil to keep warm.

3.In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened and translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

4.Add the diced tomato to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes until it begins to break down. Pour in the prepared beef stock and bring to a gentle simmer.

5.Whisk in the ketchup and mayonnaise until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Let it simmer for 3 minutes to thicken slightly.

6.Return the seared pork steaks and any accumulated juices back into the skillet. Spoon the creamy tomato sauce over the steaks and simmer for 1-2 minutes to heat everything through before serving.
