Cinnamon Rolls

Prepare the Dough In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.

Mix the Dough Add the warm milk, melted butter, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.

Knead the Dough Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Let the Dough Rise Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.

Roll out the Dough Punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a 12x16-inch rectangle.

Add the Filling Spread the softened butter over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the butter.

Roll up the Dough Starting from the long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log.

Slice the Rolls Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 12 equal portions.

Let the Rolls Rise Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover with a kitchen towel, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Bake the Rolls Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Make the Glaze While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl.

Glaze the Rolls Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls.
