Asian New Year Dumplings

Prepare the Dumpling Dough In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt for the dumpling dough.

Prepare the Dumpling Filling In another bowl, mix together the ground pork, chopped cabbage, chopped scallions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper for the dumpling filling.

Assemble the Dumplings Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a thin circle. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of the circle and fold the dough in half, pressing the edges to seal the dumpling. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.

Cook the Dumplings In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the dumplings. Cook for 5-6 minutes or until they float to the surface. Remove the dumplings from the pot and set them aside.

Prepare the Dipping Sauce To make the dipping sauce, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, chili garlic sauce, and honey in a small bowl.

Serve Serve the dumplings hot with the dipping sauce on the side. Enjoy!
