Cigarette Butt Soup

Soup Base In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until fragrant and translucent.

3.Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and add the bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste preference.

4.Cover the pot and let the soup simmer for about 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Cigarette Butt Infusion While the soup is simmering, prepare the cigarette butt infusion. Clean and sterilize the cigarette butts by soaking them in hot water and rinsing thoroughly. Place the cleaned cigarette butts in a cheesecloth or mesh bag.

6.After the soup has simmered for 30 minutes, carefully add the cigarette butt infusion to the pot. Tie the cheesecloth or mesh bag securely to prevent any loose particles from entering the soup. Continue simmering the soup for an additional 10 minutes.

7.Remove the bay leaf and the cigarette butt infusion bag from the soup. Discard the cigarette butt infusion bag.

Optional Garnish Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired.
