Teriyaki Cheese Bread

Prepare the Bread Dough In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar.

Make the Teriyaki Sauce In the meantime, prepare the teriyaki sauce by combining soy sauce, mirin, honey, cornstarch, and water in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens. Set aside to cool.

Shape the Bread Dough Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down to release the air. Divide it into equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.

Assemble the Bread Roll out each ball of dough into a circle or rectangle, depending on your preferred shape. Spread a layer of mayonnaise on one side of the dough.
