Muskat Milk

Step 1 In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium-low heat until hot but not boiling.

Step 2 Add the grated nutmeg to the milk and stir well.

Step 3 If desired, sweeten the milk with honey or sugar, stirring until dissolved.

Step 4 Continue to heat the milk, stirring occasionally, for another 2-3 minutes until the flavors meld together.

Step 5 Remove from heat and strain the milk to remove any remaining nutmeg particles.

Step 6 Serve the muskat milk hot in mugs or glasses.
