Delicious Groundnut Sweets with a Crunchy Texture

1.In a heavy-bottomed pan, add the grated jaggery and water. Heat over medium flame until the jaggery dissolves completely, stirring occasionally.

2.Once the jaggery syrup starts to boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes until it reaches a one-string consistency. To check, take a drop of the syrup between your fingers; it should form a single thread when pulled apart.

3.Add the roasted groundnuts to the jaggery syrup and mix well to coat the nuts evenly.

4.Stir in the cardamom powder and ghee, mixing thoroughly to combine all ingredients.

5.If using, add the desiccated coconut and chopped nuts, and mix until evenly distributed.

6.Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly until it is manageable to handle.

7.Grease your hands with a little ghee and take small portions of the mixture to shape into small balls or flat discs, as desired.

8.Place the shaped sweets on a greased plate or parchment paper to cool completely and set.

9.Once cooled, store the groundnut sweets in an airtight container.
