Whimsical Yak Nose Burger with Blue Cheese Gravy

1.In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, baking soda, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

2.Form the beef mixture into four equal-sized patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.

3.Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and mushrooms, and sauté until they are soft and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

4.In the same skillet, add the beef patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

5.While the patties are cooking, prepare the blue cheese gravy. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the blue cheese crumbles and continue to stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

6.In a separate pan, fry the black pudding slices until they are crispy on both sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.

7.Toast the hamburger buns lightly in the oven or on a skillet until golden brown.

8.To assemble the burgers, place a beef patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with sautéed onions and mushrooms, a slice of crispy black pudding, and a generous drizzle of blue cheese gravy. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.

9.Place the top half of the bun on each burger and serve immediately.
