Peanut-Butter Crisscross Cookies

1.Heat oven to 375°F. Have cookie sheets ready.

2.Mix flour and baking soda.

3.Beat butter and peanut butter in a large bowl with electric mixer until creamy.

4.Add sugars; beat until fluffy.

5.Beat in egg and vanilla until well blended.

6.With mixer on low speed, gradually beat in flour mixture just until blended.

7.Roll heaping teaspoonfuls of dough into balls.

8.Place 1½ inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

9.Flatten with tines of fork, making crisscross design.

10.Bake 10 to 12 minutes until lightly browned.

11.Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute before removing to rack to cool completely.

12.Store tightly covered.
