Hearty Beef Stew

Preparing the Stew Meat In a large bowl, coat the stew meat with flour, salt, and pepper.

Searing the Meat In a Dutch oven, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Brown the stew meat in batches until nicely seared on all sides. Set the meat aside.

Sauteing the Aromatics In the same pot, sauté the onions and garlic until fragrant.

Combining Ingredients Return the meat to the pot. Add beef broth, red wine, bay leaves, thyme, paprika, and additional salt and pepper if needed. Bring to a simmer.

Simmering the Stew Cover and simmer on low heat for about 2 hours or until the meat is tender.

Adding Vegetables Add carrots, celery, and potatoes to the stew. Cook for an additional 30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.

Final Touches Stir in frozen peas and adjust seasoning to taste. Remove bay leaves before serving.

Garnishing and Serving Sprinkle chopped parsley over the stew before serving. Serve hot and enjoy the hearty flavors!
