Creamy Tomato Garlic Pasta with Oregano and Parmesan

1.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.

2.In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

3.Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

4.Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, and dried oregano, mixing well to combine. Let the sauce simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

5.If the sauce is too thick, gradually add some reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.

6.Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.

7.Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
