Golden Chicken Frankfurter Sandwich

1.Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F) and bake the frozen french fries according to package instructions until golden and crispy, about 20-25 minutes. Alternatively, deep fry in vegetable oil heated to 180°C (350°F) until golden and crisp, then drain on paper towels and season lightly with salt.

2.While the fries cook, bring a medium saucepan of water to a gentle boil. Carefully add the eggs and boil for 7 minutes for soft-yolk eggs or 9 minutes for medium yolk. Remove eggs and place in cold water to stop cooking. Peel and set aside.

3.Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken frankfurts and cook, turning occasionally, until they are browned and heated through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and keep warm.

4.Spread 1/2 tablespoon of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.

5.Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on a clean skillet over medium heat. Top each with a slice of cheddar cheese and one cooked frankfurt. Top with the other bread slices, buttered side up, to form sandwiches.

6.Cook the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes on each side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

7.Slice the boiled eggs into rounds and season with salt and pepper.

8.Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them rest for a minute. Slice each sandwich diagonally.

9.To serve, plate the golden chicken frankfurter sandwiches alongside the crispy french fries and garnish with the sliced boiled eggs on the side or on top for added richness.
