iPhone Assembly Guide: Basic Components

1.Power off the iPhone completely before starting assembly to avoid any electrical damage.

2.Put on the anti-static wrist strap to prevent static discharge from damaging sensitive components.

3.Begin by placing the iPhone housing/frame on a clean, flat workspace.

4.Install the logic board into the housing, aligning it carefully with the screw holes and connector ports.

5.Secure the logic board using the model-specific screws and brackets, ensuring all screws are tightened but not over-torqued.

6.Attach the rear camera module to the logic board by connecting its flex cable and securing it in place with screws or brackets.

7.Connect the front camera module and Face ID sensor assembly to the logic board, ensuring all connectors are firmly seated.

8.Install the Taptic Engine into its designated slot in the housing and secure it with screws.

9.Place the speaker and microphone assembly into position and connect their flex cables to the logic board.

10.Insert the charging port assembly into the bottom of the housing and connect it to the logic board, securing it with screws.

11.Carefully lay the battery into the housing, aligning it with the adhesive strips. Connect the battery flex cable to the logic board and secure it with brackets and screws.

12.Apply new adhesive strips around the edges of the housing to prepare for the display assembly.

13.Connect the display assembly flex cables (digitizer, LCD/OLED, and front sensor cables) to the logic board connectors, making sure each connector clicks into place.

14.Gently place the display assembly onto the housing, aligning the edges carefully to avoid pinching cables or misalignment.

15.Press down evenly around the edges of the display to ensure the adhesive bonds properly, sealing the screen to the housing.

16.Insert the SIM card tray into its slot in the housing.

17.Perform a final inspection to ensure all components are connected and secured properly.

18.Power on the iPhone to test functionality: check the display, touch responsiveness, cameras, charging port, speakers, microphone, and Face ID sensors.

19.If all functions operate correctly, power off the device and clean the exterior with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove fingerprints and dust.
