Braised Pork with Macaroni

Marinate the Pork In a bowl, combine the diced pork shoulder with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well to ensure the pork is evenly coated with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Sear the Pork Heat a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork and cook until browned and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.

Prepare the Braising Sauce In the same pan, add the chicken broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, dark soy sauce, and sugar. Stir well to combine.

Braise the Pork Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pan and let the pork braise for about 1 hour, or until the meat is tender and the flavors have melded together.

Cook the Macaroni While the pork is braising, cook the macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Reduce the Braising Liquid Once the pork is tender, remove it from the braising liquid and set it aside. Increase the heat to medium-high and cook the braising liquid until it has reduced and thickened, about 5 minutes.

Coat the Pork in the Sauce Return the pork to the pan and toss to coat it in the thickened sauce.

Serve the Dish To serve, divide the cooked macaroni among the plates, top with the braised pork, and garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro.
