Christmas Restaurant Burger

1.In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

2.Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties and place them on a plate. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the patties to firm up.

3.Meanwhile, heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft and caramelized, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat.

4.In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, cranberry sauce, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.

5.Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached. During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese to melt.

6.While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

7.To assemble the burgers, spread cranberry mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a burger patty with melted cheese, caramelized onions, and crispy bacon. Place the top half of the bun on the burger. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
