Classic Spaghetti Bolognese

Prepare the Sauce Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.

2.Add the carrot and celery, and cook until the vegetables are tender.

3.Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain off any excess fat if needed.

4.Stir in the crushed tomatoes, stock, wine, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally.

Cook the Pasta Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta.

Serve Toss the cooked spaghetti with the bolognese sauce. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
