Cheesy Chicken Stuffed Shells

Cooking Pasta Shells Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil in a large pot. Add a tablespoon of olive oil to the boiling water. Carefully place the pasta shells into the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside.

Preparing Chicken Mixture In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked and shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, fresh parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.

Assembling Stuffed Shells Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Spoon the chicken and cheese mixture into the cooked pasta shells and arrange them in a single layer in the baking dish. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and sugar. If desired, sprinkle red pepper flakes for a hint of spice.

Baking Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden.
