Decadent Chocolate Lava Cake

Prepping the Chocolate Filling 1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white cooking chocolate in 30-second intervals until smooth and creamy.

2.Stir in the cocoa powder and bicarbonate of soda until well combined. Set aside.

Preparing the Cake Batter 1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the plain flour, caster sugar, light brown soft sugar, and fast action dried yeast until evenly mixed.

4.2. Add the eggs and milk to the flour mixture, and whisk until a smooth batter forms.

Assembling the Chocolate Lava Cakes 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) and grease four ramekins with butter.

6.2. Pour the cake batter into each ramekin, filling them halfway.

7.3. Spoon the prepared chocolate filling into the center of each batter-filled ramekin.

8.4. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are set but the centers are still soft and gooey.

Serving the Decadent Chocolate Lava Cakes 1. Allow the cakes to cool for 1-2 minutes, then run a knife around the edges of the ramekins to loosen the cakes.
