Creamy Potato Rice Mash

Preparing the Potatoes 1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes.

2.In a large pot, boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain the water once they are cooked.

Cooking the Rice 3. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

4.In a saucepan, combine the rice with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed. Fluff the rice with a fork.

Mashing the Potatoes 5. In a large bowl, mash the boiled potatoes with a potato masher.

6.Add the milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well until creamy and smooth.

Combining the Potato Mash and Rice 7. Add the cooked rice to the creamy mashed potatoes. Stir gently to combine and ensure even distribution.

Serving 8. Serve the creamy potato rice mash hot, garnished with chopped chives and grated cheese on top.
