Savory Beef and Cornbread Casserole

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2.In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

3.Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet with the ground beef. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

4.Stir in the corn, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.

5.Prepare the cornbread mix according to package instructions.

6.In a greased baking dish, spread the cooked ground beef and vegetable mixture evenly at the bottom.

7.Pour the prepared cornbread batter over the beef and vegetable mixture, spreading it out to cover the entire dish.

8.Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the cornbread batter.

9.Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cornbread is golden brown and cooked through.

10.Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
