Creamy Cottage Cheese and Potato Skillet Bake

1.Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2.In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

3.Add the diced potatoes to the skillet and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to soften.

4.Stir in the garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes until the potatoes are tender but not fully cooked.

5.In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese and milk. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

6.Add the partially cooked potato and onion mixture to the bowl with the cottage cheese. Stir until everything is well combined.

7.Fold in the cubed bread gently into the mixture.

8.Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.

9.Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are fully cooked.

10.Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
