Vanilla Sugar Meringue Cake

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, white sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well until all dry ingredients are evenly distributed.

3.In a separate bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them until they are frothy and light in color.

4.Gradually add the whisked eggs to the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

5.Slowly add the water to the mixture, stirring until the batter is smooth and well combined.

6.Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

7.Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8.Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
